Choosing the right size can sometimes be difficult, especially when you want to give baby clothes, boys' clothes or girls' clothes as a present. Below you will find a size chart to help you make the right choice. Note that in addition to age, the child's physique is also important. We recommend basing the size on your child's height instead of the age that some brands associate with a size. For example: size 104 is suitable for a child who is about 104 cm tall.

Take growth into account

Are you planning to buy baby clothes? Then it is good to know that babies grow incredibly fast during the first few years. Especially in the first months, parents often notice that their child needs a new size after only two months. In fact, newborns often outgrow their clothes after just one month! Therefore, it is useful to pay attention not only to the age of your baby, but also to your baby's height, since growth spurts can vary from one baby to another.

Also consider the season in which you buy something. If you buy baby clothes from the winter collection, for example, your child may no longer wear the size by the time it gets really cold. The same goes for the summer collection: a size that fits now may be too small when it gets really warm. So don't just look at the size your baby is wearing now, but also consider what your child will need in a few months' time. It's also a good idea to keep an eye on the size when putting together a capsule wardrobe. For example, if you are putting together a summer capsule wardrobe with 6 shirts, it is a good idea to buy 3 shirts in the current size and 3 shirts in the next size up. You can apply the same principle to a winter capsule wardrobe: if you want to buy 6 jumpers or cardigans, get 3 in the current size and 3 in the next size up.

Are you giving baby clothes as a gift? Then it is a good idea to choose one size up. That way you can be sure that the recipient can wear it and you will prevent the clothes from quickly becoming too small.

Washing instructions for Dirkje

To preserve the quality and colors of your Dirkje clothes, please follow these washing instructions:

Washing: Wash inside out at up to 40 degrees.
Drying: Air dry Dirkje clothes preferably.
Ironing: Iron inside out and avoid contact with printing.
